Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Kronero. By creating an account or joining the waiting list, you agree to them. They are written to be readable; if anything is unclear, write to support@kronero.com and we will explain.


1. Who provides the service

Kronero is operated by Athlegan AB, a Swedish limited company (aktiebolag), org.nr 559259-0318, with its registered address at Kvällsvägen 2, 146 31 Tullinge, Sweden ("Kronero", "we", "us"). You can reach us at support@kronero.com.

2. The service

Kronero is a personal-finance planning, tracking, and projection tool. It helps you sketch out a monthly plan, follow a daily spending number, record your bills and expenses, import bank transactions, and receive an optional daily report. The service is currently in private beta and offered free of charge. Features may change, and we may add, remove, or alter them without notice.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use Kronero. By signing up, you confirm that you are. You are responsible for keeping your login email secure; if you lose access to it, contact us and we will help you recover your account where possible.

One person, one account. You may invite household members through the in-app flow; their use of the service is also governed by these terms.

4. Not financial advice

Kronero is an informational tool. It is not financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or a recommendation to take or avoid any action. Nothing in the app should be relied on as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.

The numbers, projections, daily plans, and AI-generated reports the service produces are based entirely on the data you enter. They are intended to help you think — not to tell you what to do. We are not licensed under Sweden's Act on Securities Markets (lag 2007:528), the Insurance Distribution Act (lag 2018:1219), or any equivalent regulation, and we do not provide regulated financial services. If you need advice, talk to a professional licensed by Finansinspektionen.

5. AI-generated content

Daily reports include narrative text generated by a large language model. AI text can be wrong, inconsistent, or misleading even when the underlying numbers are correct. Read it as a prompt for your own thinking, not as a statement of fact. You alone are responsible for decisions you make based on it.

We do not allow our AI sub-processor to use your data to train its models; see the Privacy Policy for details.

The AI narrative is opt-out: turn off "Receive AI-generated insights" in your Notifications settings and your daily reports arrive with the deterministic plan summary only — no model is invoked for you.

6. Bank data and imports

When you import bank transactions, you upload a file you have downloaded from your bank. We never ask for your online-banking credentials, and we do not store any. The imported transactions become part of your household plan and are subject to the retention rules in the Privacy Policy.

Verify that your imports are correct. If a parsing error or duplicate looks suspicious, write to support and we will investigate.

7. Your data, your responsibility

You own the data you enter into Kronero. We hold it on your behalf so the service can use it. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for keeping a separate copy of anything you cannot afford to lose (export functionality is offered as a courtesy, not a guarantee).

9. Service availability

We aim to keep Kronero running, but we make no uptime guarantee. The service is provided "as is" and "as available". Maintenance, outages, and bugs happen. Where we can foresee planned downtime, we will give notice.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kronero is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, savings, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the service. Our total cumulative liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim — which, while the service is offered free of charge, is zero.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable Swedish or EU consumer law, including liability for gross negligence, intent, or personal injury.

11. Intellectual property

The Kronero brand, design, code, and content are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the service for its intended purpose. You retain ownership of the data you enter; you grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display it as required to operate the service for you.

12. Suspension and termination

You can close your account at any time by emailing support@kronero.com. We will delete your personal data in line with the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if continuing the service is no longer viable for us. Where reasonable, we will give notice and a chance to export your data.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service or the law changes. The Last updated date at the top reflects the current version. For material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use after a change means you accept the new version; if you don't, close your account.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes that cannot be resolved by writing to support are decided by the Swedish courts, with Stockholms tingsrätt as the court of first instance — unless you are a consumer domiciled in another EU/EEA country, in which case mandatory consumer law in your country of residence may give you the right to bring the dispute in your local courts.
